Acceptance of terms

By using Vocalize4u (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What the Service is

Vocalize4u is a free, browser-based text-to-speech reader. It lets you listen to text you paste, type, or upload, and optionally download the resulting audio as a file. It is provided "as is," free of charge, with no account required.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Vocalize4u only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to convert text you don't have the right to use or distribute in that way.
• Attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent rate limits or other technical safeguards protecting the Service for other users.
• Use automated means (scripts, bots) to make bulk or excessive requests beyond normal individual use.
• Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes on someone else's rights.

Your content

You retain all rights to any text you submit to Vocalize4u. We don't claim ownership over it. See our Privacy Policy for details on how submitted text is handled — in short, in-browser reading never leaves your device, and text sent for audio downloads is used only to generate that audio and is not sold or repurposed.

Downloads and fair use

Audio downloads are free and unlimited in the sense that there's no paywall or watermark, but the download endpoint has a per-request character cap and a fair-use rate limit per IP address, in place to keep the Service available and responsive for everyone. These limits may change without notice.

No warranty

Vocalize4u is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Voice quality, pronunciation, and availability depend in part on your device's own text-to-speech engine (for in-browser reading) and on third-party, open-source components (for downloads), which are outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vocalize4u and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. The Service is a free utility offered without charge; use it at your own discretion.

Third-party services

Vocalize4u's audio downloads are powered by Piper, an open-source voice engine, and the site links out to Buy Me a Coffee for optional support. We aren't responsible for the content, terms, or practices of these third-party services.

Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service, and may revise these Terms & Conditions, at any time. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page. Continuing to use Vocalize4u after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
